Rubber Belting is traditionally more suited to hard-wearing and heavy duty applications. If you were looking for belts for a food quality application for example, then rubber would not be suitable and you would need a Food Quality PVC or PU conveyor belt. With rubber conveyor belting and its sometimes tough applications, it is important to understand and use the right grade. Rubber belts can vary in tensile strength, the amount of layers, thickness, top and bottom covers, just to name a few.
In this way, it is important to make sure you understand what the best solution for you application is. That is where Stevens Belting are here to help, we are always on hand to establish the most cost effective and highest quality product for your needs. It may be easy to see a confusing code such as an EP500/4 and believe that the 4 layers and may be stronger than a conveyor belt with only 2 layers (plys), but this is not always the case. This is why we source out only Quality manufacturers and materials. We keep you moving.
